  Dr. Joshua Swanson

  General Dentist

  Dr. Swanson was born and raised in the Stafford/Fredericksburg area. He has an extensive history in the dental field, working in the family business as a dental lab technician all through high school and college, and then as a dental assistant, working throughout his collegiate career. Dr. Swanson is an alumnus of Brooke Point High School in Stafford County, Virginia. He completed his undergraduate education at Virginia Tech, where he earned a BS in Biology. He then continued his education at The University of Louisville School of Dentistry in Louisville, KY, for four years. Dr. Swanson has been married to his high school sweetheart, Melissa, since 2004. They have a son, Fate, and two daughters, Scarlett and Savannah. The entire family are all huge Hokie football fans (Go Hokies!) and enjoy serving through their church. Dr. Swanson remains committed to staying up-to-date with the latest practices, materials, and technology in the ever-evolving field of dentistry. With this in mind, Dr. Swanson maintains a rigorous schedule of continuing education, giving him advanced skills in areas such as orthodontics, sedation dentistry, implants, and cosmetics. In addition, he maintains membership in such organizations as the American Dental Association, the Virginia Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentists, the Richmond Dental Society, Spear Education, DOCS Education, and the United States Dental Institute. Dr. Swanson has also volunteered his time and expertise in Mission of Mercy (MOM) projects, as well as Donated Dental Services (DDS) serving the disadvantaged throughout the state of Virginia since 2004. He has been dedicated to working with a great group of doctors as a part of the Denture Team, and now leads the Partial Denture Team for the Virginia MOM Projects. Through all of Dr. Swanson’s different experiences, he has arrived at a single conclusion. He and his family have been truly blessed by God, Virginia is his home, and his goal is to serve the oral health needs of the community he loves to the very best of his ability and be a blessing to others. He is proud to be a part of such a fine community and is honored you entrust him as your partner in oral healthcare.

  Dr. Britnie Tran

  General Dentist

  Dr. Britnie Tran was born in Vietnam, and has spent her childhood years in North Carolina, Virginia, California, Oregon, and Pennsylvania. She attended Temple University in Philadelphia, where she earned her Bachelor of Biology and her D.M.D. degree with honors. During the years she have spent in the city of brotherly love, she learned to embrace diversity, to unite with others despite our differences and serve the community together. She held the position of Community Service Chair in her sorority, allowing her the opportunity to connect and assist others through numerous local outreach events. Dr. Tran still makes frequent trip back to Philadelphia, and remains a loyal Eagles fan. After graduating dental school, Dr. Tran moved to Virginia and joined a practice that provided dental care to children in an underserved community, where she acquired extensive experience in pediatric dentistry. She then went on to join a large private group practice in the Hampton Roads area, where she developed her skills alongside some of the best clinicians in the area. She takes great pride in the precision and craftsmanship of her work, while at the same time striving to ensure that her patients have a comfortable and pleasant experience. Dr. Tran believes that a trusting partner relationship is essential to successful dental care. She places an emphasis in educating her patients, allowing them to make the optimal decision regarding their treatment options, as well as providing her patients the knowledge to preserve their current dentition. She strives to develop person connections, and infuses integrity, honesty, and compassion in all aspects of her practice. Having worked extensively with underserved and diverse populations, Dr. Tran is committed to service and making a difference in her community. Dr. Tran strongly believes in the importance of learning and growing as a provider. She is dedicated to continuous education and ardently embraces opportunities to engage with the latest technologies and practices. Dr. Tran enjoys traveling and outdoor adventures. Whether it is climbing mountains, chasing waterfalls, or just a long walk with her dog, she values the simple joy that comes from spending quality time with her loved ones.
